Today marked a special milestone for The Wedding Songsmith as we attended our first ever wedding fair at the beautiful Coltsfoot Country Retreat Wedding Show. From the moment the doors opened, we were surrounded by couples at every stage of their wedding journey, each with their own story and excitement.

Meeting Couples at Every Stage

One of the highlights of the day was meeting couples wherever they were in their planning - from newly engaged couples just beginning to imagine their day, to those deep in the process, and others putting the final meaningful touches in place.

Across all conversations, a shared desire stood out: couples wanted their wedding to feel deeply personal.

A New Concept, Warmly Received

For many couples, the idea of a bespoke wedding song was completely new. Once we explained how we transform a couple’s story, memories, and emotions into a song written just for them, the response was overwhelmingly positive.

Several couples took time to explore our portfolio, asking thoughtful questions about timescales, our creative process, and how far we can personalise each song - from lyrical details to musical style and emotional tone.

Industry Connections & Support

We were also delighted by the interest shown from fellow wedding suppliers, many of whom stopped by to say how much they loved the concept, exchanging ideas and business cards.

A special thank you goes to Patrick Bennett, the photographer exhibiting opposite us. As a well-established wedding photographer and fellow musician, Patrick, along with his wife Jacki, generously shared a wealth of knowledge throughout the day, helping us navigate our first wedding fair with confidence. A big thank you to Patrick and Jacki for their kindness, advice, and support.

Looking Ahead

Meeting couples face-to-face reinforced exactly why The Wedding Songsmith exists: every love story is unique, and music has the power to capture it in a way nothing else can.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to share their story, and to Coltsfoot Country Retreat for hosting such a beautifully run wedding show. This may have been our first wedding fair - but it certainly won’t be our last.

If you’re just engaged, midway through planning, or counting down to “I do”, we’d love to write your song. For more information please visit our website or fill out our contact form here.
