Where Your Wedding Story Becomes a Song

When I speak to couples at wedding fairs, I often hear the same thing:
“We’d love something personal for our wedding… but we’re not quite sure what that looks like.”
Every couple wants their day to feel unique. After all, a wedding isn’t just a celebration -it’s the story of two lives coming together, usually in front of the people who know you best.
That’s exactly why I created The Wedding Songsmith.
Because sometimes the most powerful way to tell a story… is through a song.

Every Couple Has a Story Worth Telling
No two couples arrive at their wedding day in the same way.
Some met as teenagers and grew up together.
Some met later in life when they weren’t expecting it.
Some have weathered years of long-distance relationships or life changes before finally standing together at the altar.
Those moments - the small details, the turning points, the things only the two of you truly understand - are what make your story yours.
A bespoke wedding song takes those moments and turns them into something you can hear, feel, and share with everyone in the room.
When it’s done right, it’s not just background music.
It becomes a moment.
From Conversation to Chorus
Every song I create starts with a conversation.
I’ll ask about how you met, what you noticed about each other first, the challenges you’ve faced, the things that make you laugh, and the moments that made you realise you’d found the person you want to spend your life with.
Often couples tell me things like:
“I’ve never actually told that story out loud before.”
Those details become the foundation of the song.
From there I start shaping the lyrics - finding the emotional thread that runs through your story and building a song around it.
A line from a conversation might become the opening lyric.
A shared memory might become the chorus.
Little by little, your story turns into music.

Crafted by a Real Songwriter
I’m a professional musician and producer, and every song is written and produced personally in my studio.
But the equipment and technology are really just tools.
The important part is the craft - carefully shaping lyrics, melodies, and arrangements until the song truly feels like it belongs to you.
Sometimes the right lyric arrives instantly.
Other times it takes time to find the exact words that capture the feeling you want to express.
That’s all part of the process.
Because when the song is finished, it shouldn’t feel generic.
It should feel like your story.
The Moment It’s Played
One of my favourite parts of this work is hearing what happens when the song is played for the first time.
Sometimes it’s during the ceremony.
Sometimes during a first dance.
Sometimes as a surprise gift between partners.
Often the room goes quiet in a way that’s hard to describe.
People lean in when they start recognising moments from your story woven into the lyrics.
Parents realise what they’re hearing.
Friends glance at each other.
Someone inevitably wipes away a tear.
And suddenly the song becomes more than music.
It becomes part of the memory of the day itself.
A Song That Exists Only For You
Years after the wedding day is over, the flowers are gone and the photographs are framed, the song is still there.
You can listen to it on an anniversary.
On a long drive.
Or simply on an ordinary evening years later.
And it brings the memory of that moment straight back.
That’s the magic of music.
It has a way of holding emotions in a way nothing else quite can.

If We Met at a Wedding Fair
If we had a chat at a recent wedding fair, it was lovely meeting you.
I know planning a wedding involves a thousand different decisions, so there’s absolutely no pressure - but if you’d ever like to explore the idea of turning your story into a song, I’d be delighted to talk it through with you.
Sometimes it only takes a short conversation to realise just how special it could be.
And who knows…
Your story might make a beautiful song.
